Ogilvie brand and package redesign

R.BIRD was engaged to redesign Ogilvie Salon Styles Precisely Right, a premier brand of home hair coloring and straightening products. Efforts included complete packaging design, a new brand mark, branding strategies, updated model photography and implementation of production files.

What’s new?

  • redesigned logo
  • redesigned packages for all 7 sub-brands
  • simplified package graphics and instructions

Why?

  • redefine a more elegant brand
  • extend appeal to younger as well as mature users
  • establish a fashion-forward personality

Did you notice?

  • foils add upscale impact on the shelf
  • the "v" in Ogilvie is a playful lock of hair
  • consumer cues (e.g., “for hard to wave hair”) are clearer and more prominent.
